Husband indicted in Sandy Springs shooting photo
Family and friends of Michael and Adina Parson believed the couple was happily married, but Michael Parson is now accused of shooting his wife multiple times near their Sandy Springs apartment.

It looks like the attempted murder case against a Sandy Springs man will go to trial.

A Fulton County grand jury handed down an indictment against 43-year-old Michael Parson. He is charged with shooting his wife, Adina, eight times at their apartment building in April 2012.

Parson is charged with criminal intent to commit murder, two counts of aggravated battery, and possession of a firearm during a felony.

He was picked up about two weeks after the shooting during a traffic stop in El Paso, Texas. Adina continues to recover.

Friday's indictment means the case now heads to the Fulton County Superior Court. A trial date is yet to be set.
