Dozens of customers at a Taco Mac on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs may have been victimized by a credit card skimming operation blamed on a former server and her husband.
Police Capt. Steve Rose tells Channel 2 Action News management had been watching Aja Annunziata, on suspicion of credit card fraud.
“She was a perfect set-up because she was working at a restaurant,” said Rose. “She goes in the back and she’ll skim a card or two, and victim doesn’t know it until it shows up later on his statement.”
Police have been in touch with several local stores where stolen credit card numbers were reportedly used to make purchases. They also reportedly found a device that can emboss names and numbers on blank credit and gift cards. Some allegedly had the husband's name on them.
