Floyd County, GA —

An Austell woman faces felony drug counts after she allegedly attempted to smuggle pot to inmates working at the Floyd Recycling Center in Floyd County.

27-year-old Regina Renee Fullins of Austell was arrested Tuesday during the attempted drug transfer.  The marijuana was hidden in flattened cardboard boxes brought in for recycling.

Authorities at the Floyd County Prison had been tipped off to a smuggling plot.  At least two prisoners are under investigation for their alleged part in the scheme.

Fullins had two young kids with her at the time of her arrest.  The Department of Children and Family Services has taken custody of them.  She remains at the Floyd County Jail.
