A second person has died in the fourth wrong-way crash on metro Atlanta roads in two weeks.

The latest wreck happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man got turned around and started driving south in the northbound lanes on I-85 near I-285 in Fulton County.

"We don't know where he got on, if he possibly got on a wrong entrance way.  There's just no telling at this time.  It's very preliminary," Fulton County Police Detective Melissa Parker told WSB.

The wrong-way driver crashed into another pickup truck with two people inside.

The crash killed the wrong-way driver and a passenger in the second pickup truck. The other driver was not seriously hurt, Parker said.

Police are not sure where the driver entered the expressway.

This crash is the most recent in a string of fatal wrong-way accidents on Atlanta's major roadways. In the last two weeks, five people have been killed.

Late Friday night, 37-year-old Beverly Wilkins crashed traveling the wrong-way on Ga. 316 in Gwinnett County. Two people in the car she hit were transported to the hospital in critical condition. Police think Williams was high on Propofol.

Early Friday morning, Carlyn Emily Royball, 22, died after she hit the SUV driven by B98.5 FM morning show co-host Kelly Stevens. Royball was going the wrong-way on Ga. 400 between Holcomb Bridge and Northridge roads in Sandy Springs. Stevens has several broken bones.

The early morning of Aug. 15, two people were killed when Frampere Ingle drove south in the northbound lane of Ga. 400 from Lenox Road in Buckhead and hit Eric Hanks’ vehicle. Hanks died at the scene, and Ingle died later at Grady Memorial Hospital.
