30 vehicles burglarized in Buckhead

Buckhead break-in
Most occured in parking garage

By Richard Sangster

Atlanta, GA —

Atlanta Police say 30 cars were burglarized at an upscale Buckhead apartment complex.

Most of the break ins happened in an enclosed parking garage at the Cambridge at Buckhead apartments on Piedmont Rd. APD Capt. Adam Lee told WSB's Richard Sangster, " The garage is a secure, gated parking complex.  You have to have a code to get in there."

Police are not sure how or when the perpetrators got in, he said.

The first 911 calls about the break-ins came in early in the morning and police were still trying to locate all of the owners hours later.

The damage to the cars will exceed what was taken, loose change and CD's. All the cars had windows broken out. Lee believes the "perps" are young, because they left an expensive set of golf clubs in one car.
