A two-year-old boy fell 10-feet into a well outside of Milner, Georgia, in Lamar County.
The boy was playing out in the yard with his parents when the incident occurred.
“The well had been filled in numerous times and I guess the abundance of rain made the ground soft,” said Chief Deputy Brad White with the Lamar County Police.
According to officials, the boy was holding on by vines before the policemen got to him.
“We managed to get a PVC pipe down into the well and lowered a rope down inside of the PVC pipe and lassoed the child’s right arm and pull him out of the well,” White said.
After clearing the well, White explained that EMT’s examined the child’s arm for injury.
“The child appeared to fine,” said Chief Deputy White.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital by his parents.
