Isakson does not believe sequester will last long

U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Georgia, tells state lawmakers he does not believe the sequester will last very long.

He says public outcry will be so great that Congress will be forced to make meaningful cuts to the budget rather than those across the board.

“When you do across the board cuts, it’s the equivalent of taking one wing off an airplane… what you need to do is evaluate your weapons systems, see the ones most important, preserve those, and make your cuts in other places,” says Isakson.

As for Georgia, he predicts those area's around the state's military bases will see the greatest impact from sequestration.
