Duluth company recalls chicken products

Suzanna’s Kitchen, a chicken company in Duluth, GA, is recalling about 35,800 pounds of chicken products, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS).

The chicken recalled because it may contain pieces of plastic. Customer complaints lead to the discovery of this issue. Three products are recalled.

1. “Freebird fully cooked chicken nuggets” that come in cases containing twelve, 12 ounce cartons. The Julian code on the cases is 2075.

2. “Freebird fully cooked gluten free/soy chicken patties” are on the list with an identification code of “6244” and a Julian code of “1249.” The use- by date on this product is September 6, 2013.

3.  “Fully cooked chicken nuggets,” with an identification code of “6221” and Julian code of “2075,” are recalled. The use-by date on this product is March 15, 2014.

There have been no illness or injury reported.
