KENNESAW —

A large crowd showed up for a free gun safety class in Kennessaw on Saturday.

Over 150 people attended the class, held by the police departmen,t who taught people about gun laws and responsible ownership.

"If you're going to be a gun owner, then you need to be a responsible gun owner and practice gun safety," says Lt. Craig Graden.

Proper gun lock techniques and storage procedures were taught during the free fire arm safety course.

"There's a lot of gun owners now that are out there that really don't know how to handle their weapon.  I'm really tickled to see there are so many people that are interested in learning and learning how to be safe," says long-time gun owner James Wall.

With the increase of gun sales all across the nation, more people seem to be more interested in gun safety information.

Twice a month Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna holds free classes, which educates gun owners with the basics of firearm safety.
