MARIETTA, Ga. —
Marietta Police arrested the man they believe took his grandson with him on a crime spree.
Police found the suspect and the boy at a Motel 6 on Delk Road around 10 p.m. Thursday night. The boy, who is about five or six years old, was ok, authorities said.
Investigators say the granddad took his grandson along for the ride as he stole two cars. Both were recovered on Delk Road.
Randy Anozie says he stepped into a store when someone took off in his Honda Civic. He says witnesses told him his car was hotwired by an older man who was barefoot and with a boy.
The pair had apparently been in the convenience store earlier trying to steal ice cream and cheese.
