Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's bus tour heads to Macon this afternoon.  WSB's Pete Combs is on the bus and has been following the candidate all over the state this week.  Earlier today, Gingrich made stops at the Cobb Energy Center and in Woodstock.

Wednesday Gingrich turned up the volume on a familiar theme: the intolerance of Muslims toward people of other faiths.

To that end, Gingrich said it’s time to confront one of our closest allies in the Middle East.

“When Saudi Arabia refuses to allow any Christian or any Jewish service in the country, that is wrong and we ought to confront it head-on,” Gingrich told a capacity crowd during a rally at the Peachtree Christian Academy in Covington.

That’s a message that plays well with Georgia voters like Tracy McBride.

“I love that!” she exclaimed after attending a Gingrich rally in Gainesville Wednesday night. “We need someone in our country just like that who doesn’t hold back.”
