Fulton Co. voters not showing up on rolls

By Chris Chandler

Investigators are looking into reports that registered Fulton County voters aren't showing up on the voter rolls.

Channel 2 Action News reports the Georgia Secretary of State already has "several" open investigations into Fulton County's Board of Elections.

"We've had people call into my office saying 'Look, I've sent my registration in weeks ago and I'm not shown in the system,'" Secretary Brian Kemp says.  "We're double checking that--and they aren't."

Among other things, Kemp has sent a team to Fulton County to find out why voters aren't showing up on the rolls.

The county insists it has no reports of widespread problems.

Fulton County has been plagued by polling difficulties in recent elections, including impossibly high turnout numbers and the resignation of the elections chief following his arrest.
