An 8-year-old boy is wounded after taking a bullet during a drive-by shooting.
The boy was asleep in his bed when a bullet came through the home and hit in the back. The shooting happened at a home on Hassana Lane in Fairburn around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators confirm the child lives in the house with his mother, sister and grandparents.
No one at the home was able to give officers a description of the vehicle the gunman was in.
The boy was taken to Grady Hospital, but there is no word from doctors on his condition.
His name was not been released.
