DOUGLASVILLE —

A Facebook tip leads police to the arrest of four people in connection with an arson fire at a historic cotton mill in Douglasville.

Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller tells Channel 2 Action News two of the young men said they didn't mean to burn the 100-year-old General Western Cotton Mill down May 12.

"Supposedly, they came back to the fire, and one of them made the comment on a video that he has on his phone that 'It's the best bonfire we ever built, so pretty good case," said Miller.

The historic building on Bankhead Highway smoldered for days.  Miller says the four young men were huffing.

"They were inhaling the air sprayer that you clean your computer with and getting high, and they set three or four fires inside the building," said Miller.

Police have arrested Christopher Roberts, 20 of Douglasville; Adrian Bond 18 of Shelbyville, Tenn; Terry Carringer, of Hiram; and Jeromie Hand, 17 of Douglasville. The four are charged with arson, criminal damage to property, burglary and damage to government property.
