An ex-Cobb jailer may soon occupy a cell if convicted of assaulting a relative.
Robert Hubauer, a veteran deputy with the Sheriff's department, was released on $5-thousand dollars bond after being charged with eavesdropping and two counts of sexual battery.
His adult daughter charged he assaulted her as she slept. Police say images on Hubauer's cell phone made arresting him easier.
"The things that she described were also what the pictures were on the phone," said Officer Scott Luther of the Kennesaw Police Department.
Internal affairs launched an investigation, but Hubauer resigned before the department could take any action against him.
