Around noon today, Clayton County Police responded to a call about a burglary in process.
The police responded as normal and began to approach the building when a black pick-up truck came out from behind the building, and hit an officer.
The officer was life-flighted to a nearby hospital to be treated. His condition is unknown at this time.
The suspect has been identified as Thomas Paige, and police should be contacted with any information.
