This was no smash-and-grab.
A Snellville cell phone thief cuts through a wall to burglarize a T-Mobile store on Scenic Highway. Police Detective James McDonald tells Channel 2 Action News the crook broke into a business next door, sawed through the wall, then crawled on his belly to dodge the motion detectors.
Once inside, the crook was captured on video crawling and using bolt cutters to slice through a cage to pilfer $30,000 worth of high-end smartphones which are hot resellers on eBay, Craigslist and overseas.
The thief only paused long enough to send a text and take a couple of calls on his own smartphone.
