New this morning: the defense wants to call a surprise witness in the Casey Anthony murder trial in Orlando.
“The defensive team has said they have just recently discovered 52 year old Vasco Thompson,” says CNN’s Martin Savidge, “they say this man is a convicted felon who’s served time for kidnapping, and Mr. Thompson had contact with Casey Anthony’s father the day before Caylee Anthony was reported missing.”
But a lawyer for George Anthony flatly denies it happened.
In a bombshell allegation the first day of the trial, Casey Anthony’s lawyer claimed her father molested her and helped her cover up her daughter’s death.
