Braves fan information for the NL Wild Card Game

By Jay Black

If you were lucky enough to snag a parking pass for today’s Braves-Cardinals Wild Card Game at Turner Field, you better leave early.

First pitch is at 5:07 p.m., so the 50,000 fans going to the game will be mixed in with afternoon rush hour traffic.

There are still standing room only tickets available for the game. They are $18. The ticket windows open at 8:30 a.m. All postseason tickets are available at Braves.com

The first 45,000 fans will get a free foam tomahawk. The parking lots are sold out. They will open at noon; while the stadium gates will open at 2:07 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to take MARTA to the stadium. The MARTA Braves shuttle will run beginning 90 minutes before the first pitch from the Underground Atlanta/Five Points station, and continue until one hour after the game’s final out.

If you want to get to the stadium before the MARTA shuttle starts MARTA recommends catching any one of three other available bus routes – the No. 32, the No. 49 or the No. 55. All three bus lines may be caught at the Five Points MARTA station and all three routes stop at points near Turner Field.

Country singer Travis Tritt, a Marietta native, will sing the national anthem.

The game will be televised on TBS.

If the Braves win, they will host the first two games of the National League Division Series on Sunday and Monday. Tickets are available at www.braves.com/postseason
