Exactly a month after management locked them out, the musicians with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra have voted to ratify a new contract just in time for the season opener.

A statement from the musicians says they're accepting more than $5,000,000 in concessions.  One report says each musician will take roughly at $20,000 pay cut.

It's a two-year contract which will also shorten the orchestra season to just 41 weeks in the first year.

The deal is essentially the same one a musicians' union board already rejected and it followed a vote by the full orchestra on Wednesday.

The statement announcing the acceptance also included a scathing diatribe against ASO management, saying "those charged with overseeing the ASO have done historic damage to the future of the orchestra" by lowering salaries and making Atlanta a less lucrative destination for top musicians.

There was no immediate comment from orchestra management.

The season starts Oct. 4.
