Arts Center Gets $12 Million Grant

ATLANTA (AP) Atlanta's Woodruff Arts Center says it has received a $12 million grant to expand its offerings to Georgia students over the next three years.

The center announced Tuesday that the grant from the Goizueta Foundation would be used to expand educational programs, resources and services for kindergarten through 12th grade students.

The center said in a statement that more than a million students a year are currently served by the center's programs. The grant will be used to enhance and increase participation in those programs and to develop new initiatives as well.

The Goizueta Foundation was established in 1992 by former Coca-Cola Company CEO Roberto C. Goizueta. Its mission is to assist organizations that help people improve the quality of their lives through education.
