Lawrenceville, G.a. —
An arrest was made in the November murder of a Valdosta State coed from Lawrenceville.
The GBI reports 18-year-old Darien Meheux, also of Lawrenceville, was arrested just before midnight Thursday night at the Schley County Sheriff's Office in Ellaville.
Meheux, who is also a Valdosta student, had turned himself in after he learned there was a murder warrant out for him, in the death of 17-year- old Jasmine Benjamin. Meheux is Benjamin's ex-boyfriend.
Several law enforcement agencies had been looking for him in Gwinnett County, before he turned up in Schley County. He's a graduate of Central Gwinnett high.
Benjamin was found dead in her dorm November 17th, of asphyxiation.
