Triple shooting in Sandy Springs home

Sandy Springs Police say they still have not determined if a triple shooting at a home Wednesday afternoon was a murder-suicide.

Captain Steve Rose tells WSB when 45-year-old Charles Renner missed a ten o'clock meeting, he went to Renner's mother's house where Charles often checked up on his mother, and found three people shot to death around 4pm.

"All three were found at the scene.  All three were found with gunshots wound to the head, dead at the scene," said Rose.

Also dead was 89-year-old Edith Renner, and her daughter 49-year-old Suzanne Renner, who lived there with her.

Suzanne Renner was found on the back porch and Edith and Charles were found in the den.  A gun was found near Charles.

"We did not find any evidence of a note or anything; however, we're still treating it as an active crime scene.  We haven't concluded that it's a murder-suicide' however we're gonna test the gun and see if that gives us any indication that it may have been," said Rose.
