DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Four people are hurt after a shooting and stabbing outside a DeKalb County motel.
DeKalb County police investigators said the incident began early Tuesday morning over an argument between a group of women at the Affordable Inn on Glenfair Road, near Glenwood and Interstate 285.
During the argument, someone pulled out a knife and slashed a woman in her face, police said. Witnesses said they then heard gunshots.
“Apparently some men got involved, when the female drove off, there was some gunfire exchanged. One of the females was shot in the hand,” Lt. Dane Cunningham, of the DeKalb County Police Department, said.
Police said two men were also shot, one in the back and the other in the chest.
Police told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore that all four were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. One of the men later died, and the other is in critical condition. The two women are stable.
Police have not released a description of who they are looking for.
