Missing Woodstock Man: Jay Gentry

The Woodstock Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man who hasn't been seen since Sunday night.

Sgt. Randy Milligan tells WSB  40-year-old Jay Gentry was last seen around 7 o'clock by his wife at their home on Ashland Parkway.

"He left the residence for an unknown reason, has not been seen since," said Milligan.

Milligan says Gentry did this one time before when he and his wife had an argument, but he returned fairly quickly.

Gentry left in his dark gray 2011 Honda Element with Georgia tag:  AUS 1259.  The couple had not had a fight.  She was upstairs when he left.

"He has nothing with him.  He left his phone, wallet, money, everything at the house," said Milligan.

Although foul play is not suspected, police are concerned for his safety.

"We delayed the release a little bit because he went missing on Sunday.  We see that he would be showing up back to work on Monday.  He didn't show up to work Monday, he did not show up to work today.  So when he didn't show up for work today, it kind of caused of us to get concerned for him," said Milligan.

Anyone with information is asked to call the the Cherokee County Dispatch Center at 678-493-4080.
