It just got easier to pay your electric bill.
Georgia Power is announcing today that they are opening twenty-six hundred authorized payment centers across the state.
"These locations will allow customers to come in and pay their Georgia Power bill at a time and place that's convenient for them," says Georgia Power Spokesperson John Kraft.
Locations are inside a number of retailers. Customers can pay Georgia Power bills at payment centers inside Kroger, Walmart, Publix and Kmart.
The company says the centers will give customers more flexibility, including evenings and weekends. There is a transaction fee of $1.50, but Kraft says bills can be paid and processed at these centers on the same day.
