Gwinnett County Police investigators are asking the public's help in locating a dangerous driver.
Chezare Haynes, 25, racked up a host of charges over the span of a week including two counts of fleeing police, three counts of reckless driving, two counts of driving on a suspended license, and two counts of hit and run.
Cpl. Ed Ritter says both hit and runs occurred as Haynes was fleeing police.
"One was minor and the other was minor as well, I believe, but it involved a motorcycle and could have been much worse," he says.
Ritter tells WSB's Sandra Parrish when officers attempted to arrest Haynes at his Lilburn home Sunday, the suspect nearly ran over an officer as he fled. Three officers opened fire on him, but Haynes escaped and was not believed to be injured.
The three officers have been placed on routine administrative leave as the investigation continues.
Haynes is also wanted for two probation violations and is a suspect in a robbery.
"He's a dangerous driver and we want to get him off the road," says Ritter. "We want to hold him accountable for his actions before he does hurt somebody."
