A Jonesboro man wanted for a string of sex crimes in Clayton County is now behind bars.

Aamirr Philphot was arrested by Police on Thursday, February 14, 2013, and is accused of using a social media website to lure woman to meet him, before attacking them.

Once the victims would agree to meet him, authorities say 23-year-old Philpot would rob and rape them at gunpoint.

Philpot was wanted for sex crimes in Clayton County over a two month span.

Police have not released the exact number of attacks that have been made against women who met Philpot online.

He's currently being held in the Clayton County jail and is facing rape, false imprisonment and aggravated sodomy.
