Instagram photo lands teen in jail

A Pebblebrook High School student is in jail charged with making terroristic threats.

Marietta Police say Princeton Futch was arrested after he posted an Instagram photo saying he planned on shooting someone at the school on Monday.

Student Karen Adan tells Channel 2 Action News that social media seems to be getting a lot of kids in trouble.

"Like a little comment can become something big.  You know, who knows why he put it and maybe he was mad and caused something big that shouldn't have been," said Adan.

Detective Mark Erion says they deal with these types of crimes involving social media and/or cell phones all the time.

"We see some of the manuscripts of the dialogues that these kids have with online predators and so forth.  It's scary.  If parents could read some of this stuff, they'd say, 'oh, my kid was doing that,'" said Erion.
