It began with the ringing of a telephone at a business owned by a 31-year old man.
“They were calls of a very disturbing nature,” said Norcross Police Sgt. Bill Grogan.
On the line were other men asking for sex. At first, the business owner could not figure out where the calls were coming from.
“Ultimately, he asked one of the callers, ‘How did you get my phone number?’” Grogan said.
The answer: on Craig’s List.
Indeed, when the business owner checked, he found an ad promising sex and listing his phone number, according to Grogan. Only the business owner did not post that ad, raising the question… who did?
“We are looking into some possible suspects. At this time, I can’t say who they might be,” said Grogan.
But whoever it is will be charged with stalking and harassment – which could land the suspect in jail for up to a year.
