Coweta Co. mom, four little girls die in house fire

Authorities say a mother and four girls were killed during a fire inside of their Newnan home early Saturday morning.

All of the victims are related to each other. The girls were staying at the home on Midland Park Lane for a sleepover.
Newnan police chief Douglas Meadows tried to hold back tears as he told reporters the ages of the little girls.

The children who died in the fire are Erial McCrary, 5, Messiah White, 3, Nekkia White, 2, and Makinzie Florence, 1.

The 28-year-old mother was identified as Lalonna McCrary, authorities said.

"It's a tragedy that something like this happened," family member Shannon Arnold told Channel 2 Action News. "(McCrary) had so much love for all of the girls. Just about every weekend or every other weekend they were together."
McCrary died with one of the girls in her arms, the others were not too far away, investigators said.
Authorities said the woman’s 11-year-old daughter who survived was transported to a hospital for treatment.  She has been released.
Investigators say it's not clear what started the fire. But they have ruled out anything suspicious.
