Charges have been filed against the driver of a car from Friday's crash on I-85 near Cleveland Avenue that sent a child flying through the air.

31-year old Tamecka Shalandra Moore of Atlanta has been charged with driving too fast for conditions, child restraint violation, and a tire violation for driving with worn tires.

2-year old Kiara Talayan Brooks was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and taken to Egleston Children's Hospital for treatment.  She was released from the hospital Sunday.  The girl was in a child safety seat, but investigators say the straps were loose fitting and the right side of the strap was not latched.

The 2000 Lincoln Navigator, driven by Moore, was traveling north on I-85 when she lost control of the vehicle.  The car struck the center median wall and the child was ejected.  The child was thrown to the left emergency lane of I-85 south.
