Allatoona flooding causes park closings

Lake Allatoona is already 7 feet above full summer pool thanks to this week's record rain. The concern is more rain this weekend and bacteria at unsafe levels.

Floating debris in the lake makes it unsafe for boaters and forces a big clean up once the water level drops.

Campgrounds, boat ramps and recreation areas, Proctor Landing and Dallas Landing are closed to the public and it's unknown when they will reopen.

Wsb's Richard Sangster spoke to two triathletes, Rachel and Angela looking to get a swim in, both were turned away and they don't want to get sick from the high bacteria levels.

The girls said, "We'll use the pool today."
