According to SB Nation, the college basketball shot clock is on the dock, and the consensus is it will be shortened, but probably not to the NBA's 24 seconds.
Tweet of the Morning:
Nerlens was also asked about one-and-done rule. Given choice between going to NBA out of HS or 2 years at UK, he said he'd go to UK.— Ben Roberts (@NextCats) April 17, 2013
In response to Dan Patrick's question on his show today. Revealing.
Very cool. We're #2!
If Barker chooses The Old Ball Coach, Neal Brown is going to have to make a quick decision on Kizer or Gillins. If Barker isn’t going to announce until May, one or both could commit to another school before Barker makes his choice known. Potential disaster looming? (Hank)
Latest offer? 247 Sports also says so. Rivals? Not yet. (Hank)
Lots of good info here… (Hank)
The best explanation for the crowd of 50,831 at Commonwealth Stadium for the Blue-White Game: Hope.
"I like passing plays. I want to throw the ball," Whitlow said. "I fit this offense every way I feel. Just trying to improve my game and be more consistent in execution is what I have to do now."
So, about that impending end of the world: Kentucky currently ranks second in spring game attendance.
Well, it has to come sometime …
The 6-1 Snodgrass, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds, is ranked among the nation’s top 200 prospects and is the highest ranked receiver ever to commit to UK. He had narrowed his choices to South Carolina, Louisville, Virginia and Kentucky before picking the Cats.
Hard to believe that we’ve never had a 4* receiver before.
Feh. He hasn’t been a head coach long enough to be ranked.
One thing is for sure all three QB’s [Jalen Whitlow, Max Smith, and Patrick Towles] are way to talented to carry a clipboard up and down the sideline for 12 games this fall , something has got to give and more than likely since they’re all three sophomores at least one will bail out and transfer just prior to the WKU opener.
If that happens to Towles, will Kentucky fans go off the reservation on Stoops?
This has been out for a while, but in case you missed it … (Via Hank)
Working for the Vanderbilt team, I’m supposed to hate Kentucky. I do hate Kentucky. But I also love Kentucky and am in awe of Kentucky. What John Calipari has done at UK in 4 years is truly remarkable, the raw talent on the teams he has put together is off the charts and unlike anything college basketball has ever seen.
Stories about Kentucky basketball from a guy who is a manager for Vanderbilt’s basketball team.

I think this is probably right. Via Aaron’s blog.
Goodwin will have a chance to raise his stock in workouts, and he needs to.
But one thing has not changed during all this time. Don’t believe the speculation about Wiggins or what any so-called source says.
This is exactly like Patrick Patterson’s recruitment.
I told you I had a bad feeling about this. UK is in a bad place, and it only gets tougher from here.
I think we’re all thrilled for her. Long may she grace the courts of the WNBA.
Monday tends to mean it’s time for Joker Phillips latest creepy Photoshop effort.
Creepy? I think it’s hilarious. I bet his targets do as well.
This is a very big surprise to me, but I’ll bet Travis Ford is a happy guy.
Will Cuz learn from this, or just jump right back in? If I were a betting man, my money would be on the latter … Via Aaron’s blog.
