The compelling ballet captures the struggle for survival by the leopard and his family in the African drama. The Leopard Tale fuses classical ballet with African dance. Ballethnic's diverse artistic range is well depicted as gazelles engage in a balletic romp; zebras join in a jazzy combination; and cagey lions go on a stomping prowl. All of this spirited, high-energy movement is driven by an original score and live African drumming. Apprentice youth dancers and senior adults join with professional dancers to perform this colorful family classic. Last presented in 2008, The Leopard Tale always has drawn strong audience support, and its' expected to do so again this season.
