Bollywood Mashup! Saturday April 27 2:30pm-5:00pm with FaaridahIn this mix level workshop, Faaridah will teach a brand new choreography to a “mashup” of some of the hottest Indian dance hits.  This “Bellywood” performance piece (as the Belly Dance Superstars classify this fusion style of dance), will blend elements of Bollywood Dance with classical Egyptian style Belly Dance! Bollywood Dance incorporates Hip Hop, Jazz, Salsa, East Indian Classical, Folk, and Bhangra dancing.  The end result is a dramatic, fun and lively choreography. Workshop is suitable for all level dancers!In addition to her Middle Eastern, Latin Dance and recent Ballet training, Faaridah has been studying classical Indian Bharata Natyam and Bollywood dance over the years during her weekly travels to Houston, Arkansas, New England, South Carolina, Washington DC.Just $30 in advance. $40 on the day of!  All workshop participants will be provided with the music track at the end of the workshop.Interested in performing?
