Explore the early 1900s and discover the trials and troubles in the lives of African Americans. Take part in training classes for domestic servants during the Jim Crow era and learn how hard it was to obtain employment. Challenge the stereotypes of the time period and discover how they began. Students will enjoy engaging performances and participate in interactive activities related to the period leading up to the Civil Rights Movement
Black History Month Fridays at the Atlanta History Center. Admission is $8 per student; one adult admitted free for every10 students; Title I schools receive a discounted rate of $6 per student.
