Some need a cup of coffee to get going in the morning, but you'll be wide awake after diving into the first-annual Polar Bear Run & Plunge 5K Extreme Run. With this offer, you'll get registration for the 5K, access to the after party, a swag bag, and a post-race beer. Be sure to book early; as more tickets sell, the price will rise. On Saturday, January 19, meet at Foxhall Resort & Sporting Club for this fun-filled event. The first wave begins at 10 a.m., but additional start times will become available as waves fill up. Whether you want to run, jog, walk, or trot, the 5K adventure race features 12 obstacles to keep you on your toes including a fire jump, balance beam, and mud slide. Once you've conquered the course, take the final plunge into the chilly Fox Hall pond. Don't worry, there will be plenty of heaters at the finish line, along with a beer to enjoy at the post-race party packed with a cash bar, food trucks, and music from DJs.
