The MJCCA gymnastics program focuses on building children's confidence and self-esteem by gaining flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, and body control, all within a very positive and encouraging atmosphere. For the intermediate recreational gymnast. Having accomplished the skills in 'Cartwheels', this class continues to the next step. This class is recommended for girls working on the skills below: Vault: mastered squat on, working on dive roll to flat back and handstand flat back Bars: chin-up pullover (no spot), back hip circle with light spot, 3 leg lifts Beam: Releve walks on high beam, arabesque on high beam, working handstand on low beam, cartwheel on high beam with light spot Floor: front & back walkover, handstand roll, round-off rebound" *Member Price includes BBYO members. This course includes 30 hours of classroom time (including State-required Alcohol and Drug Awareness training) and 6 additional hours of Behind-the-Wheel training with a licensed driver training instructor. This program is licensed by the State of Georgia Department of Driver Services. Class meets on Sundays at the MJCCA Dunwoody location. Graduates are eligible for a 10% reduction in insurance premiums and parents are eligible for $150 Georgia Income Tax Credit. Students must be turning 15 before the last class. Safe Sitter teaches young teen babysitters the essentials of keeping themselves and the children in their care safe. Nationally recognized and pediatrician developed, this program includes child care techniques, basic first aid, rescue techniques (like choking infant and child rescue), babysitting as a business, and online and cellphone safety. " This class offers teens (11-15 year olds) the opportunity to learn the skills that every parent looks for in a babysitter. :\nMore Than Just Babysitting training offers teens the\nopportunity to learn the skills that every parent looks\nfor in a baby-sitter. Baseline mock test on Sunday, February 24 from 1pm-5pm is required unless previous official SAT scores are available. Mock tests can be rescheduled. Etiquette topics include: Introduction Skills, First Impressions, Table Manners,\nTelephone/Cellphone Etiquette, Manners at Home, Dining Out, Invitations, Respect for Others, When to Rise, Internet/Email Etiquette, Conversation Skills, Peer Pressure, and Movie Manners Several dances will be introduced, including the: Swing, Cha Cha, Box Step, Texas Two Step and Western. Appropriate Dress: \nStudents will be taught what is socially appropriate dress for various occasions. In class boys are required to wear a coat, tie and dress shoes. Girls are required to wear dresses or skirts with appropriate dress shoes and white gloves which are provided.
