Do you or someone you love have food allergies? Need help preparing healthy, delicious, and safe meals for your family or friends? Join Chef Asata Reid of LifeChef on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at The Cook's Warehouse in Decatur to learn how to make healthy, allergen-free meals. As mother and partner of two men with food allergies, Chef Reid understands the need to be safe in the kitchen and how to create delicious meals everyone can enjoy. Reid's menu for the class will be based on fresh, local, and seasonal foods and designed around the class participant's food allergies. Hosted by FARE and sponsored by Whole Foods Market - Briarcliff and The Cook's Warehouse, all proceeds from ticket sales will fund research, education and advocacy programs related to food allergies. Tickets are $25 per person and the ticket price includes a meal adapted to attendees' unique dietary needs.
