Independence, coordination, body awareness and basic gymnastics skills are all concepts that will be explored in this class designed for children with special needs. This class will be led by a gymnastics instructor and assisted by a certified special needs teacher. Caregivers may be asked to provide assistance, as needed. Parents or caregivers who register their child will be contacted prior to the first class meeting to discuss accommodations. Prerequisite: No previous gymnastics experience required. Children of all abilities are welcome to attend. Attire: Leotard for girls (custom leotards will be available for purchase directly from the instructor); T-shirt and shorts for boys.
