Students in this high-energy class will learn hip-hop dance moves and technique, as well as theatrical dance as seen on-stage, and in movies, musicals and music videos. The Spring Recital on May 18 is the highlight of our dance season, and provides students with a live stage performance opportunity. Students must be registered by January 25 to be eligible to perform in the Spring Recital. A separate, non-refundable fee of $80 is payable to Daystar Dance Academy for one costume and a pair of tights, recital tickets and facility charges. Students in more than one class may be required to purchase additional costumes at $50/ea. Fees will be divided into two payments: The first payment of $55 is due the week of January 28. The second payment of $25 is due the week of March 4. Attire: Loose, comfortable clothing that allows for movement (no jeans), and tennis shoes. Long hair should be worn in a pony tail. Short hair should be pulled away from the face.
