End the year in the right place at the right time. Hillside's popular New Year's Eve service once again features "The Burning Bowl" and "Letters to God" - two tools you can use to cleanse your consciousness of old, worn out beliefs, ideas and habits to focus on accomplishing your good desires. Write down statements that represent the things you want out of your life. Then toss it in the flames of the "burning bowl" before you enter the Sanctuary on New Year's Eve - symbolizing that you know those things will not follow you into the new year. Prepare your "Letter to God" in advance by writing statements that represent what you desire for your life in the coming year; what you want to become, accomplish and acquire. Also, include statements about what you will commit to do in order to be on purpose and remain in alignment with your heart's desires. Place your writing in a self-addressed, stamped envelope and bring it with you to Hillside on New Year's Eve. The "letter" will be collected during the service and prayed over.
