The Women of Umurima, the Burundi Women's Farm, offer tastings of Burundi traditional foods and share farm stories. John T. Edge, Director of the Southern Foodways Alliance, provides insights into the culinary influence of new immigrants on Southern food ways. Bridget Perison, bartender at Seven Lamps at the Shops at Lenox, shakes up cocktails that will encourage us all to give thanks. A $40 donation per person is requested, to go towards the purchase of MARTA tickets for women and elderly farmers at the Global Growers farm sites. A $40 donation covers the cost of one month's transportation for a farmer.
